We are inspired by Holy Spirit for the purpose of preserving marriage and family relationships that will reflect God’s design and purpose, the Serenity Space addresses the needs of every person. 

The Serenity Space is where bridge building takes place! There is an art to building bridges and thank God for the architects, civil engineers and a variety of skilled artisans that transform and maintain bridges across the world from blueprint to brick, mortar and steel.

Relationally, bridge building involves a similar process in that it takes an architect (facilitator) who holds the blueprint (effective communication) and teams up with an engineer (expert in a particular field) along with willing participants who thirst for wisdom, instruction and understanding (people across the life span). These elements serve to create an environment of stimulating conversation not just for the sake of talking but to be transformative in terms of how we relate to one another in all spheres of influence (marriage and family, leadership, parenting, education, healthcare, community involvement, business, etc.).

My husband and I was interviewing a leader in community involvement the other day and he said, “My interest is in building people and that takes time”. For too long resources have been handed to people without building them from the inside out creating short term results. The Serenity Space is interested in building people as well. Married for 30 years, Drs. R.L. and Mary E. Davis have been involved in marriage enrichment ministry for over 20 years and have served as Pastors for 20 years. During this time, they have facilitated marriage seminars and workshops in church settings and in community settings in Central and Southeast Arkansas. During this time, they have counseled many couples categorically pre-marital, marriage enrichment and distressed marriages. Also, during this time biblical counseling services are offered to individuals as well.

Pastor Davis is an ordained Christian minister with the Baptist Church. He has obtained his Doctoral degree in Theology and Mary Davis has obtained her doctoral degree in Biblical Counseling. They are currently facilitators of the PREPARE/ENRICH assessment tool for couples supplemental to the Bible to lay the foundation for Kingdom marriages. They also draw from Hope focused Marriage counseling model’s structure of 9 areas of marriage.
